The mission of 10th Div was to cut the UN MSR at ANDONG.

Hq of 10th Div, 27th Regt and 29th Regt were at OKTONG (approximately 4 km E of TOPYONG-DONG (ER 0115).

c. Chronology:
30 Jun 50 - PW inducted into NK Army at SUKCHONG, and trained with 29th Regt of 10th Div. Original 29th Regt strength 3000.
5 Jul 50 - 10th Div moved to PYONGYANG.
25 Jul 50 - 10th Div headed south.
O/a 10 Sep 50 - 10th Div arrived at HYON POON (NAKTONG River) and was engaged for about two weeks.
O/a 25 Sep 50 - 10th Div retreated north.
O/a 15 Dec 50 - 10th Div arrived in YANGGU, NORTH KOREA.
16 Dec 50 - 10th Div arrived in HWACHON and stationed there until 24 Dec 50. At that time 10th Div reorganized.
24 Dec 50 - 10th Div headed south toward ANDONG which was their objective.
Middle part of Jan 51 - 10th Div arrived in a small village located approximately 20 km east of ANDONG.
31 Jan 51 - PW deserted his unit in the vicinity of TOPYONG.
1 Feb 51 - PW surrendered to ROK National Police and turned over to 7th Marines.
