PW intelligent, frank, and cooperative in appearance, but seems to be lying.
a. Movement of 7th Bn:
As of 221900 Jan 51, unit departed area southeast of YONGCHUN (DR5502) and proceeded due north, crossing the HAN River on ferry boats or wading. Unit planned to travel at night approx 25 miles, and carried only three days supply of food.
Before departing PW overheard a conversation between the Sgt of his Sqd and a Lt to the effect that the 7th Bn would pass through YANGGU o/a 30 Jan 51, CHANGDO MYON o/a 3 Feb 51, and reach ICHON on 7 Feb 51 (similar route to be taken by the 9th Div o/a Aug 50).
It was rumored that 9th Div Hq had reached ICHON.
b. Strength: 7th Bn (as of 22 Jan 51)
Approx 1,000 troops, about 30% former South Korean Security Police members who were conscripted. Also three 20 year old nurses.

1st Bn, 9th Div, went north, crossing HAN River o/a 18 Jan 51, 8th Bn, 3rd Regt, 9th Div went north o/a 22 Jan 51. PW believes majority of 9th Div will follow the same course.
On the night of 19 Jan 51, contact was made with the 31st Div approx 12km south of YONGWOL as this unit was travelling to the north.
