Subject was separated from Co with two others at CHIAM-NI CT 7804 on 010500 Jan 51 and proceeded to KUUNDONG CS 8676 arriving 071700 Jan 51. Observed CCF troops (no u/k) enroute, armed with small arms and automatic weapons. 080600 Jan 51 subject and two others were captured by CCF troops and forced to stay in same village because CCF fear of air strikes. Subject escaped alone 082000 Jan 51 and proceeded S. Passed through KYORYONG-DONG CS 8772 on 101400 Jan 51 and observed approx 15 CCF troops armed with small arms and auto weapons. Enroute observed no hvy wpns, tanks or vehicles. Enroute observed CCF troops on 15 horses (location u/k). Arrived NOLBUNYO-RI CS 7952 on 151300 Jan 51 and met another ROK straggler at 151700 Jan 51. Enroute observed CCF troops, no u/k, in small villages (location u/k) armed with small arms and auto weapons. Stayed overnight at NOLBUNYO-RI and departed together 160800 Jan 51. 160900 Jan 51 met another ROK straggler 8 km N of YOJU CS 7928. Picked up by 21st Inf two hours later. Subject does not know place names along route of escape.
