FIELD REPORT (24 Div - LDI - Unnumbered) 14 January 1951

1. PERSONAL DETAILS:

2. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Subject departed CHIAM-NI CT 7804 022300 Jan 51 with 30 others from other units of his division. 032200 Jan 51 subject arrived in vicinity of SUDONG-NI CS 8482 with approx 200 other stragglers picked up enroute. At above location they were attacked by approx 2 -3 squads of NK troops armed with 2 LMGs, 1 mortar and rifles. The 300 men scattered and subject and 1 other arrived at HANDUK-NI (Phonetic) 061000 Jan 51. There subject observed approx 3 platoons of CCF troops marching north. Only small arms observed. 061100 Jan 51 at same place subject heard from villager that approx 1 troop of CCF Cavalry passed through HANDUK-NI traveling south a few hours previous. 071200 Jan 51 subject departed HANDUK-NI and by-passed PANGONG-NI CS 8372 080400 Jan 51 and arrived at CHIPYONG-NI CS 7948 on 111300 Jan 51. Enroute subject observed approx 1 squad of CCF troops at majority of small villages. Names of villages unknown. No heavy weapons or vehicles observed. Subject arrived in vicinity of KOKSO-RI CS 7843 on 111700 Jan 51. Heard from villagers that CCF troops were in KOKSO-RI, however, did not observe CCF troops. Immediately departing KOKSO-RI subject arrived at TANGU-RI CS 8432 131100 Jan 51. No enemy were observed enroute. At TANGU-RI subject observed 3 CCF sentries in central section of village and on surrounding hill. Subject crossed river in vicinity of YOJU on 140600 Jan 51, and picked up by elements of 21st RCT.
