2. ASSESSMENT:
PW seems in good physical condition. Interrogation at higher level not recommended. Information seemed to be reliable.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
Inducted 7 Apr 50 at SARIWON. Received 1½ months basic training at SARIWION. 2,500 to 3,000 men who later made up the 13th Regt trained at the same time and place.
15 Jun 50, 13th Regt boarded train - traveled for short distance. 13th Regt armed with standard infantry weapons at SARIWON. Guard Co had 80 SMG's.
13th Regt crossed 38° parallel at KAESONG (開城), marched to YONGDUNGP'O, INCH’ON, SUWON, P’YONGTAEK, CH’INJU, CHINDONG, HANAM ( ). 13th Regt in HAMAN Area at time of capture.
10 men left in Regt Guard Co. Replacements received, CHUNGAM, 20 replacements received in PW's Co at above town. PW heard that other Co's got replacements in unknown numbers. PW thinks other Co's in his Regt also suffered a great loss of men.
No tanks in 13th Regt. No artillery seen area of HANAM. Unknown number of trucks heard at night in CH’INJU Area.
Equipment: Hearsay: PW states 13th Regt has nearly all of the original weapons issued at SARIWON.
Regt CO communicated by telephone. Two lines wore seen by PW going into Regt CO tent.
50 American (White) PsW seen in area of CHIRI SAN on unknown date.
Intention: Objective of 6th Div - MASAN - PUSAN.
Personalities: CO, 13th Regt - Han, Il Hae (한일해) Rank, Col, Approx 40 yrs old. Stout build. Formerly of 8th Route Army, CCF (hearsay).
CO, 6th Div - PANG, Ho Sam (방호삼)
Morale: PW saw leaflet. PW wanted to surrender but afraid of officers. Officers only were allowed to read leaflet. PW read his when no one was watching.
Surrendered to US Troops because of leaflet.
Men from MANCHURIA in PW’s unit have high morale and forced others in company to fight.

4. GENERAL:
O/a 20 Aug 50, PW’s Co received an unspecified inoculation prior to reaching HAMAN.
