2. ASSESSMENT:
Captured by elements of 2d Bn, 5th RCT. Was in good physical condition at interrogation. Cooperative, but of below average intelligence. Information is considered fairly reliable. PW served for a period of 3 months in the CNA. Not recommended for further interrogation.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:
PW was captured by CCF at CHIANG SU SONG Dec 48. 26th Army entered KOREA Nov 50. Arrived YONCH’ON CT 3217 approx 1 month ago and stayed here approx 20 days. Departed YONCH’ON approx 9 days ago. 1st Plat, Hvy Wpn Co (3d Bn, 26th Regt) arrived 8th Co (3d Bn, 26th Regt) positions CS 570780 3 days ago. Heard from BN political leader that 7th and 9th Co located in rear 4 days ago. 8th Co CP located approx 1km NW in valley. 3d Bn CP located approx 4 km N of 8th Co positions. 1st and 2d Bn located to the rear. Believes 27th and 28th Regt still located at YONCH’ON.

d. Mission:
Told by company political leader that they were to start offensive. Heard this approx 8 days ago.

e. Food & Ammo:
Food is sufficient. Millet, rice and beans are eaten twice daily. Ammo is fairly sufficient.

f. Morale:
Morale is low due to lack of rest and food since arriving in front line.

g. UN Leaflets:
Has picked up leaflet but was not able to read (illiterate). Had friend read leaflet and believing contents, thought to desert at first opportunity.

h. Broadcast:
Heard plane broadcast 2 days ago vic place of capture but was not audible.

I. UN PW:
Observed approx 20 UN PW being taken north approx 2 months ago.
