a. Chronology:
Security Co, 337th Regt relieved 9th Co, 3d Bn, 337th Regt approx 20 days ago on Hill 937 CS 701544. 9th Co withdrew N. 8th Co, 3d Bn, 337th Regt was on Hill 887 CS 707558, however, withdrew N o/a 27 Feb 51. Security Co was disorganized approx 14 days ago. PW and 6 others stayed behind and wandered about on Hill 937 for approx 8 days. 5 Mar 51 PW persuaded 6 others to surrender to UN Forces. Enroute group met another deserter on 9 Mar 51 and surrendered together to US Forces 090900 Mar 51.
b. Composition of Unit:
113th Div is also known as the 2d Div. 113th Div composed of 337th, 338th and 339th Rifle Regt, also known as 4th, 5th and 6th Regt. 337th Regt composed of 1st, 2d and 3d Rifle Bn and Security Co. 3d Bn composed of 7th, 8th Co and Hv Wpn Co.
