a. Chronology:
1 Oct 50 - Conscripted at WONSAN, attached to Sig Bn, 42nd Div.
16 Oct 50 - Sig Bn arr MANPOJIN, PW assigned to Sig Bn, 1st Div, III Corps. Received 2 mo of basic trng.
1 Dec 50 - 1st Div dep MANPOJIN.
4 Jan 51 - Div arr KUMSONG (CT 7853) via KANGGUE, HAMHUNG, WONSAN, and SINGOSAN, and also received wire laying and political trng.
2 Feb 51 - Div dep KUMSONG.
9 Feb 51 - Arr TODON-NI (DS 5530) via HWACH’ON (CT 8618) HONGCHON (DS 0272), PYONGCHANG (DS 4736)
21 Feb 51 - Unit dispersed by hvy arty shelling at TODONG-NI. Heard unit was to withdraw 40 km to N. PW deserted.
22 Feb 51 - PW captured.
b. Organization, Strength & Weapons:
III Corps composed of 1st, 3rd, and 7th Div.
1st Div composed of 2nd, 3rd, 14th Regt, and Engr Bn, Sig Bn (300), Med Bn, and Recon Co.

c. Propaganda:
Approx 10 days ago heard from bn political officer the following:
II NKA Corps was in eastern sector (KAN GUNG); III Corps on Central front and V Corps on the Western Sector; that NKA had advanced to CHUNGJU and UN forces had withdrawn to TAEGU but that the NKA will not pursue enemy but instead will establish a defensive line at an undisclosed location. (propaganda)
d. CCF:
Approx 7-8 days ago, while PW unit was travelling from HOENGSONG to KANGNUNG, obs 400-500 CCF troops (identification by speech) going north while 1st Div was heading towards PYONGCHANG. 12-13 horses were also obs. No other details due to darkness.
e. Medical:
Approx one month ago (Jan 51) there were 5-6 cases of typhus in the 3rd Co.
