Information limited; considered unreliable.
Military History:Inducted 1 Jul 50, at NAJIN (羅津). Trained as rifleman 15 days at MAJIN. Departed NAJIN - 16 Jun 50 - by train - arrived CH’ORWON - 20 Jul 50. PW did not observe any other troops. Departed CH’ORWON, same day. The 2nd Bn (450 man) marched to YOJU (驪州), arrived 25 Jul 50. Without stopping, the at proceeded to SANGJU (尙州), arrived SANGJU 31 Jul 50. Departed 3 Aug 50, marched to SONSAN (善山), arrived 5 Aug 50. At SONSAN, PW developed leg trouble and could not depart. He remained in the area and met 6 men from the 13th Div. They walked together for 20 days and inquired as to the whereabouts of the 2nd Bn. It could not be located so he went to the nearest unit which was the rear echelon of the 13th Div. PW arrived at the 13th Div Guard Unit, 31 men, and was taken into the Wlit 26 Aug 50. PW was assigned to the 3rd squad of the Guard Platoon 28 Aug 50. The Guard Platoon while marching south, was attacked and routed. PW and 2 others trying to locate rest of Guard Unit ran into ROK troops and were ordered to put down their arms and surrender. The 2 others were shot trying to escape and PW alone was captured 16 km N of TAEGU.
26 Aug 50, whon PW was assigned to the Guard Platoon of the 13th Div, the unit was with the 23rd Regt of the 13th Div one day, PW estimated that there were about 1,200 troops located about 22 kn N of TAECIJ. PW observed one LMG in each squad, 1 HMG in platoon, 3 x 76-mm M1943 Guns, 1 x 120-mm Mortar, 1 x 45-mm M1937 AT Gun, 4 x trucks, 3 x tanks (type unknown).

One HMG in platoon.
One Mortar in battalion.
Supplies:While with the 23rd Regt on 26 Aug 50, PW observed the troops eat 2 meals a day. Morning and night.
