1 Aug 50 - 3rd Regt arrived SEOUL. Disposition other units 1st Div unknown.
1 Aug 50 - 3rd Regt departed SEOUL loss artillery. Marched through CH'UNGJU (忠州) and HAMCH’ANG (咸昌), arrived ANGYE-MYON 8 Aug 50. Exact route travailed unknown. Enroute unit sustained several air attacks, data, casualties sustained unknown. Date and location where Regt crossed NAKTONG River unknown. At ANGYE-MYON, on 8 Aug 50, subject heard other units of the 1st Div were in vicinity - exact location unknown. 12 Aug 50 in ANGYE-MYON, PW was wounded in air attack and sent to a Div hospital somewhere on the eastern bank of NAKTONG River. Hospital was moved to KUNWI 20 Aug 50. 23 Aug 50 subject discharged from hospital and told to join his Regt than located approx 16 km SSE of KUNWI (軍威). Subject rejoined 3rd Regt at this location 23 Aug 50, while 3rd Regt was engaged. Disposition of other units unknown. On 23 Aug 50, subject heard 3rd Regt, 1st Div was expecting the arrival of 8th Div. Details unknown. 3rd Regt was engaged during the entire period 23 Aug 50 - 25 Aug 50, with Art'y support. Location or identification of supporting Art’y unit unknown. 8th Div had not arrived as yet on 25 Aug 50. Casualties sustained by Regt were unknown. PW’s platoon of 44 men was reduced to 19 men by 25 Aug 56. In the engagement, subject was captured.

Most of the troops wanted to desert but were afraid to do so because they had been told that all who attempted would be shot. Heavy artillery fire has demoralized the troops greatly.
