PW was cooperative, but information was extremely limited because of his short period of military training. Was not interested in NKPA organization.

PW and 5 other EM (South Koreans conscripted into NKPA) who were wounded went down the mountain to a small village to the rear where they went to sleep. They were awakened by ROK soldiers and they surrendered immediately on 24 Aug 50.

PW and other "volunteer" replacements were issued M1899/30 rifles, 120 rounds at KUNWI 22 Aug 50. Losses unknown.

Observed about 10 medium tanks approx 5 miles North of HAMCH'ANG on the HAMCH’ANG-MUN’GYONG road, 20 Aug 50,

Artillery:
Observed none.

Vehicles:
Observed about 10 x 2½ ton trucks KUNWI 22 Aug 50, Lead was unknown. Observed approx 15 horse and ox carts MUN'GYONG o/a 20 Aug 50. Lead was small arms ammunition.

Supplies:
Received an average of 1 rice ball a day. PW was continually hungry.

Enemy Intentions:
Objective of 1st Div was TAEGU. No gas equipment was observed.

Additional Information:
Observed no guerrillas. Observed no safe conduct passes or other leaflets. PW's morale had been low over since he was conscripted.
