Evaluation:
PW was illiterate. His answers to questions were not sensible. This is the first time he has ever travelled from his birth places. PW never saw the entire 20th Regt, only the 1st Bn. He heard from his platoon leader he was in the 20th Regt, 1st Bn.

Inducted 13 Apr 50, HOERYONG (會寧). Received two months of basic infantry and MG training.
Departed HOERYONG 21 Jun 50 - by rail - arrived KUMHWA (金華) PW insists 25 Jun 50.
15th Div departed KUMHWA - 27 Jun 50 - marched - arrived YOJU (驪州) date unknown.
1st Bn departed YOJU - date unknown - marched - arrived - CH'UNGJU (忠州) date unknown.
Departed CH'UNGJU - date unknown - marched - arrived - ANDONG (安東) - date unknown Aug 50. Met 3rd Bn in a hill and proceeded to ANDONG.
1st Bn departed ANDONG - date unknown Aug 50 - marched - arrived KUMCH'ON (金泉) date unknown Aug 50.
1st Bn departed KUMCH'ON - date unknown Aug 50 - marched - arrived "KIL CHU" date unknown Aug 50.
Departed "KIL CHU" date unknown Aug 50 - marched - where, by whom and place captured - unknown. (According to PW's identification card he was captured at IMAM-DONG 25 Aug 50 by ROK 16th Regt).
25 1300K Aug 50, while PW and two other soldiers were in a village trying to get a cow which the CO had bought previously, PW and another were Captured by the ROK troops. The 3rd man escaped.

At date of capture there were 15 men in the company, 3 HMG's, and only 250 rounds.

About 90 survivors in the 1st Bn at time of capture.
