a. Chronology:
9 Aug 50 - Conscripted at ONDAM-NI, and attached to 7th Div.
20 Dec 51 - Div strength approx 4,000, arr KAPCHON-NI while enroute 7th Div assimilated approx 2,000 stragglers and increased strength to 6,000.
4 Feb 51 - 4,000 men from 38th Div (deactivated) integrated into 7th Div at KAPCH'ON as replacements. Approx 200 of newly assigned personnel killed or wounded by air at KAPCH'ON.
9 Feb 51 2400 hr - 7th Div dep KAPCH'ON on foot and headed towards HONCH'ON. Strength had decreased to approx 8,000. 2,000 killed or wounded from air strafing. Heard that 7th Div would join other div of V Corps and CCF units at HONGCH'ON to prepare for spring offensive during mid-March 51. Remained at KAPCH'ON due to high fever.
10 Feb 51 - PW captured.

c. Supply:
Ammo: 5 Jan 51 - PW and 30 others were sent to HONGCH'ON to receive ammo. At HONGCH'ON (6 Jan 51) detail reported to a CCF supply unit (strength about 750) and obs about 15 Chinese speaking Koreans attached to the unit. Obs 1/60mm mortar and 2 arty pieces. Ammo stored in a small civilian house located approx 2 km S of HONGCH'ON and had storage of mortar shells, rocket shells and rifle ammo. Detail returned to unit at KAPCHON with rifle ammo and mortar shells carried on their backs.
