Due to limited service, PW had very little information to offer. PW’s unit was 6th Div, 13th Regt, 1st Bn, 1st Co, 2nd Plt, 3rd Sqd. Subject did not know hiw own unit. (Identification from other sources).

Food and Ammunition Supply:Food confiscated from village. Ammunition, no information.
Personnel and Unit History:PW and about 800 others were drafted 25 Jul 50 at KIMP’O, and departed on foot for SEOUL the same day. They arrived at SEOUL on 26 Jul 50, on the pretense that they were to labor in a factory. However, evening of 26 July 50, the men marched south to SINHUNG. The group remained here for 5 days. 3 Aug 50, the group departed SIHUNG and marched south via SUWON, TAEJON. CHINJU and arrived at place of capture on 14 Aug 50. Enroute small groups of conscripts would join the original 800 until finally the strength reached about 2,000.
Arriving at place of capture, the 2,400 was divided into 200-300-400 men groups and sent out to other areas (units).
Subject and about 300 others were put in the 1st Bn. Subject claims he did nothing for 9 days except hide from air attacks.
Morale:Morale was very low in PW’s units. As soon as the shooting started, everyone would run because they did not want to be killed.
