Military History:Trained 9 Jul 50 - HAEJU (海州). Trained 2 weeks at HAEJU as rifleman but never fired on the range.

PW believed entire 7th Div left HAEJU at the same time and took name route to CHINJU. PW’s Co (3rd Co) attacked by ROK Marines 17 1000K Aug 50, PW surrendered with 34 other men from 77th Regt, 19 Aug 50.

Riflemen armed with M1899/30 rifles, 50 rounds, Squad leaders armed with PPsh M1943 Submachine Guns, Officers armed with pistols.
16 PPsh Submachine guns in Submachine Gun Co of Bn.
Unknown number of Maxim HMGs in battalion.
Casualties: Unknown
No replacement men or equipment (19 Aug 50).
Armor:Saw 3 tanks (type unknown) near TAEJON, 12 Aug 50.
Artillery:None observed
Vehicles:Observed approx 10 x 2½-ton trucks at CHINJU, 14 Aug 50. PW stated that trucks carried soldiers - number unknown.
Supplies:Received 3 bowls of rice per day.
Enemy Intentions:Objective of 77th Regt, 7th Div was to seize and hold T’ONGYONG.
Received no gas equipment or training
Additional Information:PW never saw any former CCF Koreans in 77th Regt and believes there to be none.
Saw no “Safe Conduct Passes” or other leaflets
