Subject while on a patrol mission was overrun and captured vic south-east of YONGDU-RI CS8657 by elements of NKA, 040500 Jan 51. Observed approx 2 Bns armed with US BARs (no unk), 1 - LMG, 1 - HMG, 5 PPSH SMGs and rifles at place of capture. No tanks or heavy weapons nor CCF troops observed. Taken to Bn CP (designation unk) located 2 km north-east in mountain from place of capture on or about 040800 Jan 51. Subject observed 15 - 16 NK troops at this location. Subject escaped on or about 040900 Jan 51, and hid in cave until nightfall. Headed south for YANGDONG MYON CS8545 on or about 041900 Jan 51. Arrived in KORU-RI generally south from YONGDU-RI on 050730 Jan 51. At this location subject observed 6 NK troops. Heard from villager that 30 NK troops were also there. Departed KORU-RI on 051900 Jan 51 and proceeded south on mountain path and arrived in YANGDONG on 060730 Jan 51. No CCF or NK troops observed enroute. At YANGDONG met 13 man patrol from the 8th Div (ROK). After questioning by patrol subject proceeded south to YOJU CS7928 following mountain trail. Patrol proceeded north to PUKKOGE (Phonetic). Subject arrived in village 4 km north of YOJU on 071000 Jan 51. No NK or CCF troops observed enroute. Subject observed approx 20 CCF troops armed with 2 - PPSH SMGs and rifles in YOJU at 071010 Jan 51. 1 CCF officer in group. No heavy weapons, tanks, trucks or carts observed at this location. Departed YOJU on 071100 Jan 51 and proceeded south for CHANGHOWON-NI CS7907. Enroute met 2 ROK stragglers approx 8 km north of CHANGHOWON-NI CS7907. Picked up by elements of 5th RCT on 071400 Jan 51.
