Chronology:
Apr 48: Inducted into CNA in MANCHURIA and attached to 49th Army.
Nov 49: Captured by CCF when TIENTSIN fell. PW was attached to present unit and participated in the capture of central and south CHINA by the 4th Field Army.
Apr 50: 348th Regt returned to HAICHENG (海城), MANCHURIA where unit underwent battle training.
20 Oct 50: Unit crossed YALU River.
27 Oct 50: Unit reached UNSAN area.

39th Army - 115th Div, 116th Div and 117th Div.
116th Div - 346th Regt, 347th Regt, and 348th regt, (hearsay - Arty Bn).
348th Regt - 1st Bn, 2nd Bn, and 3rd Bn.

Strength:
348th Regt, original strength, 2,400 to 2,500 men as of Oct 50.
During the general offensive southward, PW carried machine gun ammo (belt). PW carried one box.
Three days after reaching KORANG PO RI PW was captured.
