T/O & E AND STRENGTH:The 16th Tank Brigade (code 101), was composed of 2 x tank battalions, 2 x rifle battalions, and a motorcycle unit.
2nd Rifle Bn was composed of 3 x rifle companies, a HMG Co, a 82mm Mortar Co, Transportation Plat and a Signal Platoon.

| Two (2) trucks with each Rifle Company for transporting troops. 15 to 20 T-34/85 tanks with each tanks battalion but PW believes tanks were destroyed while fighting in YONGSAN and CHANGYONG sector 4 Sep 50 to 12 Sep 50. An Anti-aircraft MG Co was attached to the 16th Tank Brigade from 6 Aug 50. | |
Inducted 8 Jul 50 at PYONGYANG. Received 15 days infantry training at CHORWON with 2nd Bn (2nd composed of students from 1st Higher Middle School of PYONGYANG), 16th Tank Brig. Reached CHANGNYONG 13 Sep 50.
PW wounded at CHANGNYONG sector on 16 Sep 50 and was evacuated to TAEJON. Sent to CHOCHIWON but captured 8 Km W of CHOCHIWON by US troops 271700 K Sep 50.
