2. ASSESSMENT:
PW in good physical condition at time of interrogation. PW is of below average intelligence, but information obtained is considered fairly reliable. Not recommended for further interrogation.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Unit Organization, Strength and Equipment:
15 days prior to crossing Manchurian border, 150th Div designated 57th Unit. 50th Army consisted of 150th Div and two other Div. 150th Div consisted of the 448th, 449th, and one other Regt. 448th Regt consisted of 3 Rifle Bn. 2nd Bn consisted of 3 Rifle Co. 4th Co consisted of 3 Rifle Plat.

4th Coapprox 100o/a 25 Oct 50u/k 
4th Co suffered five KIA from air strikes as of 25 Jan 51.
There were 2 60mm mortars, 6 LMG in 4th Co. Troops were armed with rifles and each man carried 4 hand grenades.

b. Unit Assignment and Intentions:
24 Jan 51, approx 8 km north of OSAN (CS2913), CO told the men that his unit had no further plans and would remain at present position awaiting further orders from higher Hq.

c. Disposition:
PW heard from CO 24 Jan 51 that 448th Regt Hq was located approx 8 km to the rear of 4th Co Hq, which in turn was located approx 8 km north of OSAN (CS2913). Also heard that 2nd Bn Hq was located 4 km to the rear of 4th Co Hq.

d. Communications:
Telephones and messengers were used for communication within PW unit.

e. Personalities:
WON, Pai (Phonetic), CO, 4th Co, 2nd Bn, 448th Regt.

f. Morale:
Approx 50% of the men in 150th Div were CNA troops and are being forced to fight; consequently, their morale was low.

g. Chronology:
PW was conscripted into CCF o/a 2 Oct 50 at KAOSHAN-TUN(高山屯) and sent to KIRIN(吉林), where he was assigned to his present to date of capture. Received no basic training and did not fire a single round up to date of capture. O/a 8 Oct 50, 150th Div departed KIRIN by train, arr ANTUNG 10 Oct 50. At ANTUNG 150th Div remained approx 15 days doing odd jobs. O/a 10 Oct 50, PW unit became also known as follows: 57th Unit, 3rd Bn, 1st Co, 2nd Volunteer Unit, 5th Combat Unit, 3rd Plat, 8th Sqd(主■部 三大隊 一中 战省願二隊 战五隊 三小隊 八■). O/a 25 Nov 50 150th Div crossed border by train to SINUIJU (XE2040). 150th marched during night, after entering KOREA, arr CHONGCHON River o/a 25 Nov 50. The unit arrived via P’YONGYANG o/a 25 Dec 50. Unit departed P’YONGYANG following day, on foot, and arr vic SEOUL o/a 11 Jan 51. Unit remained here for one day, then continued south on foot through mountains arriving vic OSAN (CS2913) 18 Jan 51. 25 Jan 51, while PW and 2 others were bringing in clothing supplies to unit, PW was captured by the US 35th Regt.

h. Food and Ammunition Supplies:
Food supply insufficient. No food brought from rear. Troops fed twice a day, but PW did not know where food was obtained. Ammo supplies insufficient. Approx one half of the troops in 50th Army armed with rifles. Each men had 80 rd; a LMG had 1,000 rd; a 60mm mortar 15 rd (as of 25 Jan 51).

i. Psychological Warfare:
PW did not see nor hear of any UN propaganda leaflets or aerial broadcasts.

j. Medical:
Tuberculosis was the most common disease in PW unit. No medical treatment was given to the sick.
