T/O AND E AND STRENGTH OF: 13th Div, 19th Regt, 1st Bn, 3rd Co, 1st Plt, 1st Sqd (21 Sep 50).
13th Division composed of 19th, and 23rd Regiments. Each Regiment composed of three (3) Battalions.
1st Platoon:
Personnel of the 1st Plt originally numbered 82 but dropped to 52 as of 21 Sep according to the PW. The HMG platoon numbered only 20 persons as of the same date out of an original 42.
All companies in 19th, 21th, and 23rd Regiments were equipped with three (3) rifle companies and one (1) HMG platoon.
PERSONAL AND UNIT HISTORY:Inducted on 14 May 50 at SINUIJU with 120 other men. Had infantry basic training for approx 1 week.
PW was captured by ROK forces on 21 Sep 50.
FOOD AND AMMO SUPPLIES:Food and Ammo supplies were very short.
MORALE:Morale was very low. All were thinking about saving their own lives.
