918th 82mm Mortar Ammo Plant WENKUANTUN (文官屯)

LOCATION:
Approximately 600 meters south of WENKUANTUN Railroad Station, and 4 km east of the MUKDEN Main RR Station.
DESCRIPTION:

This plant has 8 large buildings, brick, gabled roof and 4 smoke stacks.
Buildings #1 to #5 are of the same size - 30 x 8 m.
Building #1 is the smelting plant, #2 to #4 are the casing manufacturing plant, #5 is where the 82mm Mortar Ammunition is assembled. Buildings #6 to #8 are used for the processing of ammunition. After processing, ammo is transferred to underground storage dumps (#9 to #11). #12 to #16 - underground - Ammo and Powder storage.
Area of Plant - 800 x 800 meters.
PERSONNEL EMPLOYED:
There are 200 men and women employed in three 8 hr shifts daily. All technicians employed are Japanese Nationals. Koreans and Chinese are used as laborers.
DAILY OUTPUT:
Average of approximately 3,000 82 mm Mortar shells are produced daily.
