Food: Although troops foraged from villages, supply was not ample enough to feed all members. Present situation was so desperate that troops only ate once a day or none at all.
Medicine: None available.

h. Replacement:
Late Dec 50 - 7th Div received approx 400 combat experienced troops at P’YONGYANG
Late Jan 51 - Approx 700 replacements from 43rd Div were reassigned to 7th Div at YONGYONGPO NI (DS 1551).
7 Feb 51 - 38th Div of V Corps was deactivated and approx 500 were reassigned to 7th Div at YONGYONGPO NI also.
43rd Div was also believed to have been deactivated.

i. Morale:
Troop morale extremely low because their weapons were inferior, lacked ammo, food was scarce and warm shelters were impossible in this cold climate. PW believes many NK would surrender if given a chance but the watchful eyes of every officer reminded them of the consequence, if caught with intentions of deserting. Best time, in his opinion to escape, is when their unit is in immediate contact with UN Forces. Then darkness would cover their escape.

For the AC of S, G-2:
