During the fighting in the vicinity of Hill 319, PW platoon leader was killed and remaining members retreated. One wounded and PW remained.

3rd platoon located on Hill 319 (CS 3534)
c. Other Unit Localities:
2 km W of 3rd platoon was the 2nd Bn.
4 km E was the 6th Co.
4 km N of 3rd plat was a unit which was not known to PW. Strength of this unit was about 400.
e. Weapons:
PW saw the below mentioned weapons on or about 20 Jan 51:
Regiment:
8x82mm mortars (Chinese).
14x60mm mortars (US).
Bzooka (US).
Ammunition for the above was plentiful.
h. UN PW:
During a night march of 4 Jan 51 approx 0800 hr PW unit arrived at KOYANG (CS 1575). At a small village approx 8 km E of KOYANG PW saw 3 British PW wearing fatigues and fur caps, under guard in a house. Heard his platoon leader say that the PW were from the British 27th Unit. Fate of PW not known. PW were in good physical condition.
