4. LOCATION & ACTIVITIES OF UNIT:

2nd Bn, 67th Regt C.P. located at SONGSONG NI (BU 6023) 25 Nov 50.
Approx 1,000 NKA troops of the 67th Regt arrived at NANSAN NI o/a 20 Nov 50.
They immediately went into defensive positions between NANSAN NI and SONGSONG NI. These were simple defensive positions.
67th Regt, 43rd Div was believed to be one of the units which had retreated from South KOREA. The PW joined the unit in North KOREA; he is therefore unable to explain the unit’s activities in the South.
67th Regt is the original NKA 39th Div. The 39th Div was redesignated in the vicinity of HAICH’ANG (phonetic) o/a 10 Nov 50.
67th Regt of approx 1,000 troops is attempting to make its way north to rejoin other NKA units. The route to be taken and final destination is unknown to the PW.
PW believes that the previously mentioned defensive positions were prepared because the unit is evidently forced to remain in the area for a period of time in that all routes of march seem to be blocked.
67th Regt is travelling alone. The whereabouts of the rest of the 43rd Div is unknown.
