The 166th Infantry Div was composed of 6,500 men. 3 Regt composed of 2,000 men each. 3 Bn composed of 500 men each. 4 Companies with 120 men each. One of the companies was a heavy machine gun company. And the 3 platoons were composed of 36 men each. 3 squads were composed 9f 12 men each. This division was composed entirely of Korean nationals.
The entire 166 Div was transferred on 30 July 49 and upon reaching SINUIJU (新義州), KOREA on 7 Aug 49 was redesignated the 6th Infantry Div.
