PW was cooperative.
PW was very unobservant and confused; he was unable to recall events and dates.
The information seems unreliable.

4. PERSONAL AND UNIT HISTORY:
Inducted into the 1st Sqd, 2nd Plat, 1st Co, 1st Bn, (unk) Regt, SEOUL 206th Tank Div 5 Aug 50 at SARIWON (BT 2065). During the period that PW was in the Tank Division he did not see any tanks and received no tank training.
Dec 50 the 10th Division was organized at POKYYE RI (CT 5548). PW was placed into the 3rd Sqd, 3rd Plat, Sig Co, 27th Regt, 10th Div.
PW did not know what other units constituted the new 10th Division. PW did not know if the units had been reequipped during reorganization. While traveling from SARIWON to CHECHON, the following route was followed:

2,000 troops of the 10th Div retreated from TAEJON to INJE; through mountain passes, between these two places. This route to INJE was unknown.

Nov 50, while still in the 206th Tank Division, at POKKYE RI the PW underwent 20 days of training with approx 2,500 other troops. It was not known if these troops were all from the 206th Tank Div. It was believed that all of these men were placed into the reorganized 10th Div during Dec 50.

PW was separated from his unit because of frostbitten feet on 2 Jan 51 and was captured while trying to return to his home village.

5. LOCATION AND ACTIVITIES OF UNIT: (As of 2 Jan 51)
Mission of the 10th Division was to capture PUSAN.
No further information.

6. PERSONALITIES:
PAK, Pong Sok (朴봉석), Jr Lt, Plat Ldr, 3rd Plat.

7. FOOD AND AMMO SUPPLIES:
PW last received ammo at POKKYE RI Dec 50. The unit would gather whatever ammo they could require while traveling.
Food was taken from towns or villages as the unit advanced.

8. SIGNAL INFORMATION:
Telephones were utilized at Company level and above.
Messengers were utilized below Company level. Wireless was also used, but PW did not know at what echelon.

9. MORALE:
The PW claims that the morale in his Plat was low because they lacked weapons.

10. UN PsW:
Dec 50 PW saw 7 US PsW at CHUNCHON. PW heard from the guard that they were to be taken to MANCHURIA. No further information.

11. CCF:
PW did not see any CCF troops. He did not know of any coordinating activity by the NKA and CCF.

12. PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE:
a. Did you surrender voluntarily? If so, why?
a. PW voluntarily surrendered because he was overwhelmed. PW claims, however, that he was awaiting an opportunity to surrender.
b. Did you see any United Nations leaflets or hear any loudspeaker broadcasts?
a. He did not see any UN leaflets.
c. Can you describe what they said?
a. Negative.
d. What was your reaction to them?
a. Negative.
e. Did you hear other soldiers discuss leaflets or broadcast? What did they say or do?
a. Negative.
