Casualties; Causes:
Casualties: 1,100 troops at HWANGCHORYONG. Mostly due to strafing and bombing.
The men are afraid of air attack.
Air Raid measures:
Men take cover in air raid shelters during the day time.
Battery carried 60 rounds for each mortar and regimental Hqs was responsible for resupply.
Battery had armor piercing shells and plenty of ammunition.
Horse carts are used to bring ammunition forward to the gun positions.
Battery expends 10 rounds per day.
Guns were dug in.
Telephone communication is available.
Each battery uses two observers to adjust fire.
