ASSESSMENT:
PW was cooperative and spoke freely. He was intelligent, but did not possess much information since he was young when in CHINA. Information seems fairly reliable.

CHRONOLOGY:
3 Aug 50: Inducted into the Volunteer Army in SEOUL (서울) KOREA.
20 Sep 50: Assigned to the 102nd Regt, 3rd Bn, 1st Co, 1st Plat, 1st Sqd in PUAN (扶安) KOREA.
25 Sep 50: Started to move north (destination unknown). When they reached TANYANG (丹陽) he left his outfit and reported to the police station saying that he had deserted his outfit. He stayed at the police station for about 14 days and was then sent to PW Camp #1.

TOPOGRAPHY         HSUCHOU (徐州) CHINA
HSUCHOU is surrounded by a plain field with a 400 m-high hill on the east and a 300 m-high hill on the West.

LOCATION
Approx 2.5 km SE of HSUCHOU RR Station
OBSERVATION
PW, while attending primary school, went for a hike to his airfield three times. It was a grassy field with no fence around it so he could not estimate the area. When he saw this airfield he was still a child, and therefore possesses no detailed information.

Approx 2.5 km SW of lighthouse and 1.5 km SSE of TOKAI Hotel. (Refer to sketch.)
OBSERVATION
This army barracks was formerly a middle school which the informant attended for 4 years.
AREA
This army barracks covers an area of 400 m x 600 m enclosed by 1.5 m-high barbed wire fence.
BUILDINGS
There were two building. One was a 7 m x 60 m x 10 m two story stone buildings with slate gable type roof. The other was a 2 story stone building with slate gable type roof.
