a. Chronology:
2 Oct 45 - Inducted at WONCH’ON HYON, MANCHURIA to “PELDONGTAI” (別動隊) guerrilla unit (100 men)
Mid Jan 46 - PELDONGTAI redesignated WONCHON HYON Guard Regt with strength of 1,000.
3 Jul 46 - THE WONCHON HYON Guard Regt again redesignated the MINJURENGUN Ind 6th Div with approx 10,000 men vicinity of SHINKYO, MANCHURIA.
29 Oct 49 - Ind 6th Div integrated into CCF 43d Corps and called 156th Div. PW assigned to 455th Regt, 3d Bn, 2d Co, 2d Plat, 5th Sqd as Sqd ldr at KANSOSONG, CHINA.
Mid Mar 50 - 156th Div redesignated Ind 15th Div at CHONGJU, CHINA. Departed on rail for WONSAN, N. KOREA.
25 Apr 50 - Ind 15th Div arrived WONSAN, redesignated 7th Div.
20 Jun 50 - Entire 7th Div departed on rail for INJE, N. KOREA.
22 Jun 50 - 7th Div arrived INJE. PW suffered from stomach ailment.
5 Jul 50 - Transferred from INJE Hosp to CHINNAMP’O Hosp.
23 Jul 50 - PW released from hosp; promoted to Jr Lt, assigned to 43d Div, 2d Regt, 3d Bn, 2d Co, 3d Plat.
Early Sep 50 - Only 2d Regt departed CHINNAMP’O on trucks for SONGCHON, NK (near YANGDOK). Whereabouts of 1st and 3d Regt, 43d Div unk.
15 Sep 50 - 2d Regt arrived SONGCH’ON but due to UN air bombardment, PW Co (2d) was dispersed.
30 Sep 50 - PW arrived HUICH’ON (S of KANGGYE).
1 Oct 50 - PW assigned to 3d Corps, 15th Div, 2d Regt, 3d Bn, 2d Co as company commander. Entire 15th Div received military training at 24 km north of HUICH’ON
7 Nov 50 - Entire 15th Div departed place of training. Headed south.
20 Feb 50 - 15th Div arrived vicinity of PANGCHIKOL (12 km S of PYONGCHANG) via HUICH’ON, SINSONGCHONG, CHANGRIN, YANDOK (20 Dec 50), KUMANRI, KOKSAN, TAEHWA, CHINPU, KANGNUNG (Mid Jan 51), CHINPU, CHA-WON-RI, and PUNGAMNI.
221300 Feb 51 - Engaged UN troops till 1900 hr.
24 Feb 51 - 15th Div arrived 4 km N of PYONGCHANG.
260900 Feb 51 - 2d Regt 15th Div and 1st Bn 1st Div engaged UN troops. PW captured.
