2. ASSESSMENT:
PW TING seriously wounded. Evacuated through medical channels. PW LU appears in good physical condition. Cooperative and intelligent. Served 6 years in the CNA and 1 year in the CCF. Information obtained only from PW LU. Recommended for further interrogation.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:

b. Unit Disposition:
1st Plat was in vic of place of capture on high ground this morning (20 Feb 51), however, dispersed. 2d Co approx 600 meters to S of place of capture, but dispersed. 1st Co 2 km E of 2d Co. 3d Co 400 meters W of 2d Co. Hq 1st Bn located with 2d Co this morning. 450th Regt crossed HAN River from S to N, N of place of capture on 18 Feb 51. Believes that 450th Regt Hq moving to vic SEOUL. Unit came into area about 5 days ago.

c. Deserted unit when unit retreated N this morning.

d. Unit Mission:
Company commander ordered his plat on the night of 18 Feb 51 to hold high ground at all costs.
e. Adjacent Units:
Heard 2 days ago from NK police all units were going N of HAN River.

f. Weapons:
3 LMG and 2 x 60mm mortars in company.

g. Food:
Food was forages, but not sufficient. At times they ate only once in two days.

h. Morale:
Morale of majority of the troops low. Do not desire to continue fighting due to arty fire and air strikes.

i. Propaganda:
Believes broadcasts have more effect than leaflets because only 20% can read. Also leaflets must be read secretly whereas broadcasts maybe heard without others knowing that one has heard the broadcast.

j. HAN River Crossing:
Crossed HAN River 15 days ago in vic SEOUL over ice under RR bridge.

k. Effect of Night Air Strike:
Unit received air strike almost nightly. However, arty fire caused majority of the casualties.
