Jan 49 - Captured by CCF at TIE■TSIN, and asgd to the 39th Army.

1 Jan 51 - 346th Regt engaged in combat at ■■GJIN.

O/a 8 Jan 51 - Regt arr YONAN.

O/a 27 Jan 51 - Crossed IMJIN River, near a RR bridge. Arr SEOUL and shortly thereafter crossed the HAN River.

39th Army consisted of 115th, 116th and 117th Div, Arty Regt, Field Hosp (strength equal to 2 Bn), Bugle Co, Gd Regt, Recon Regt, Sig Regt, Engr Bn, and Rear Hq incl supply, transp, etc.

116th Div consisted of 346th, 347th and 348th Regt, Arty Bn, Gd Bn, Recon Bn (incl Sig), Med Co, Engr Co, and Div Rear Hq.

346th Regt composed of 3 Rifle Bn, Arty Btry, Engr Plat, Med Unit, Recon Co, (consisting of the Sig Unit, Stretcher Plat, Political Instructors Group).

Three Rifle Co, Hv Wpns Co, Med Sqd, Sig & Recon Sqd organized a Rifle Bn.

Although fed adequately three times a day, morale was low throughout Bn because of constant marching, sleeping on hills, and occupying villages prohibited.
