2. CIRCUMSTANCES OF CAPTURE:
PW voluntarily surrendered. He and his men read UN leaflets 24 Jan 51 and by killing the platoon leader they were able to surrender.

e. Propaganda:
Subject stated that other units also wanted to surrender, but were afraid of the officers in charge. UN leaflets persuaded the CCF troops into surrendering and if such propaganda was spread by loudspeakers it would be more effective than leaflets.
