PW was captured 19 Feb 51 in the vicinity of SONUTP’I (CS 1651). Observed many UN leaflets which urged him to surrender immediately for good treatment and food were to be awaiting him. Intended to surrender but was not able to do so because of the wariness of the officers for soldiers who had such notions.

4. GENERAL INFORMATION:
PW claimed that there was a rumor among the 50th Army troops that the 41st, 43rd, 44th, 45th, 46th, 47th and the 48th Armies of the 4th Field Army had not entered KOREA. These armies were to guard CHINA’s interior in event that the 3rd Field Army invaded FORMOSA. PW maintains that the 3rd Field Army is at present in the KWANGTUNG area, preparing for the FORMOSA invasion.
