3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:
4 Aug 50: Conscripted into the “Volunteer Army” and assigned to AHYON (阿峴) Unit, at SEOUL. Departed SEOUL on the same day with approx 3,000 men for ANBYON (安邊).
8 Sep 50: Arrived ANBYON. Assigned to NKA 8th Bn, 82mm Mortar Co and engaged in basic training.
6 Oct 50: Started to retreat to CHOSAN (楚山).
15 Nov 50: Arrived CHOSAN. Reassigned to 82mm Mortar Co, 3rd Bn, 1st Regt, 8th Div. Engaged in field training.
15 Dec 50-14 Feb 51: Advanced up to KWANGJU (廣州). Went into combat at KWANGJU. 1st Regt was annihilated.
14 Feb 51: PW was captured.
