a. Chronology:
15 May 49: Inducted into a guard unit at P’YONGYANG. Engaged in basic training for about 5 months.
20 Dec 49: Assigned to 7th Brigade at SIBYON-NI (市辺里).
24 Jun 50: Reassigned to 1st Bn, 1st Regt, 8th Div, at YANGYANG (襄陽).
25 Jun 50 - 28 Aug 50: Advanced to ANDONG (安東).
29 Aug 50: Wounded in the right hip by Arty shell and was sent to SEOUL.
o/a 15 Sep 50: Arrived SEOUL, but since they had too many patients, was sent to HAMHUNG (咸興).
30 Sep 50: Arrived HAMHUNG and was hospitalized at 8th Field Hospital.
15 Oct 50: Discharged from the hospital and assigned to 1st Bn, 2nd Regt, 38th Div, at CHILPYONG.
20 Oct 50: Started to retreat to HUCH’ANG (厚昌).
15 Dec 50; Arrived HUCH’ANG.
30 Dec 50: Departed HUCH’ANG for HONGCH’ON (洪川).
10 Jan 51: Arrived HONGCH’ON. Here the entire 38th Div was redesignated. PW was assigned to 45mm Antitank Gun Plat, 1st Bn, 3rd Regt, 7th Div.
15 Jan 51: Departed HONGCH’ON
6 Feb 51: Advanced to CHIKTONG (直洞). PW became ill so was left behind.
8 Feb 51: Captured.
