1. PERSONAL DETAILS:

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:
3 Nov 49 - Inducted at SARIWON (YC 4055) and was attached to the Tng & Replacement Depot and received three mo of military tng.
1 Jan 51 - 7th Div arr YANGGU (DT 1219)
2 Jan 51 - 7th Div dep YANGGU with HOENGSONG (DS 1149) as their destination marched only at night.
15 Jan 51 - Div arr HOENGSONG. Continued to march and arr at a village called YONGDONG-NI (16 km SW of HOENGSONG). Div was ordered to deploy its units in this vicinity.
3 Feb 51 - The 1st and 3rd Regt contacted UN ground forces. At this time the 7th Div CP was located in YONGDONG-NI.
8 Feb 51 - The Div CP began retreating and headed in NE direction. PW was taken ill so he remained in a abandoned farm house.
9 Feb 51 - PW dep YONGDONG-NI with the intention of surrendering to the UN Forces.
10 Feb 51 - At KOCHANG. PW surrendered.

c. Duties of Political Section:
The political officers printed propaganda pamphlets and submitted them to Div Hq. The Div Hq then distributed them to lower echelons except when there were transportation difficulties.
The propaganda pamphlet contained articles pertaining to CCF victories against UN Forces, and how the CCF is aiding the fight for the free people of KOREA.
