2. ASSESSMENT:
Cooperative, talked freely; limited information. Reliability - Fair.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:
13 Oct 50 - Inducted at HAEJU, NK.
Early Nov 50 - 40 men arr KANGGYE.
24 Nov 50 - 12th Div dep KANGGYE.
10 Jan 51 - 1st Regt arr 16 km N of WONJU. Engaged UN forces - 1st Regt dispersed. Disposition of 2nd and 3rd Regt unk. 60 men of 4th Co travelled about mountains for 5 days, headed north for HONGCHON and then returned south.
7 Feb 51 - 130 men arr HASUPEK-NI - 4 Co and 1st Plat were in the rear 1 km. Stayed in mountains for 3 days.
10 Feb 51 - PW surrendered.

Observed 2 or 3 CCF troops laying Com lines (armed with carbines).

e. Supplies:
1. Food: Procured from villages - Very scarce, mostly unhulled rice, meals twice a day. Some supplies brought by horses (2 in Bn).
2. Ammo: Received 40 rd during early Feb. There were 2 horses with 4 boxes of Russ rifle ammo. 120 rd and 2 grenades carried by each solider (6 days rations of rice, no blankets).

f. Replacement:
Early Feb - 3 men in 3rd Plat from 43rd Div.

g. Medical:
1/3 of troops suffering from frostbite.

h. Morale:
Troops are weary of war - They are under constant surveillance by civilian clothed personnel who also kept match for leaflets, subversive rumors, and conscripted troops.
