2. ASSESSMENT:
PW appeared very nervous during early stage of interrogation, but relaxed and answered questions readily. Information seems reliable.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:

d. Supplies:
(1) Ammo: Low; no recent resupply observed.
(2) Food: Low; chief source was thru local villages.
(3) Medical: Low; most of original supply used up and there is little in reserve.

e. Adjacent Unit:
Rumors among the troops indicated the presence of 12th NK Div in vicinity.

f. Morale:
Constant UN air and Arty strikes are taking affect on new and younger recruits and their once high morale seems to be deteriorating. However, older men are still determined to fight.

g. Medical:
(1) Common disease symptoms:
(a) Headache or stomach pain (mid section)
(b) Physical fatigue
(c) Expectoration of blood
(d) High fever
(e) Contagious
(2) Effect:
Death results when illness advances to its final stage and when adequate Med attention is not administered.
(3) Cause of disease: Lice and flea bites. (typhus ?)
(4) Time required for recovery:
Early patients recover within 3 days, but the majority are ill for about 2 weeks.
(5) Treatment:
Majority of patients are inoculated with undetermined serum twice or three times weekly while others received small amount of white, fine grained, sedative twice daily. The injections were more effective than sedatives. Patients usually asked for cold food, cold water, fruits, etc.
