2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was cooperative but possessed poor memory. Reliability - Fair.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:
20 Jan 46: Volunteered for the guard unit at HOERYONG (會寧) as private. Strength was that of a Regt.
Jun 47: Assigned to guard duty on the 38° parallel.
15 Jun 50: Arrived WONSAN.
Jul 50: Reassigned to 3rd Sqd, 3rd Plat, 6th Co, 2nd Bn, 1st Regt, 12th Div at WONSAN. Remained in WONSAN due to attack of malaria, but 12th Div moved southwards with strength of 10,000.
6 Sep 50: 40 patients departed WONSAN.
20 Sep 50: Arrived at point 80 km east of ANDONG. 12th Div located there with strength of 8,000.
10 Oct 50: Retreated. Arrived MYOHYANG Mountain (妙香山), with 1st Regt. Location of other Regts of 12th Div unknown. Promoted to Sgt.
Nov 50: 1st Regt departed MYOHYANG Mountain with strength of 1,000 men.
10 Jan 51: Arrived HONGCH’ON (洪川).
14 Jan 51: Reassigned 2nd Sqd, 2nd Plat, 2nd Co, Recon Bn, directly attached to V Corps at HONGCH’ON.
31 Jan 51: 2nd Co departed HONGCH’ON. Recon object; enemy strength in vicinity of CH’UNGJU (忠州).
6 Feb 51: Captured at HOENGSONG (橫城).

Five men out of his Co were confined to hospitals at TONG, MYON NI on or around Jan 51, with malaria.
