5 Mar 47: Volunteered for NK Security Force at UIJU-GUN (義州郡)
21 Jul 50: Assigned to 10th Div Arty Regt at KANGNUNG (江陵).
30 Jul 50 - 28 Aug 50: Advanced to SONGJU (星州) with approx 9,000 men.
23 Nov 50: Retreated to HWACH’ON with approx 3,000 men. Here they reorganized the 10th Div with 5,000 men by recruiting 2,000 men from the HWACH’ON vicinity.
28 Dec 50: Departed HWACH’ON
28 Dec 50 - 6 Feb 50: Advanced to SINGYE-NI (新溪里)
8 Feb 51: PW was captured.

h. Intentions:
(1) The 10th Div was to advance to the vicinity of ANDONG (  ) and out lines of communication and destroy transportation facilities.
(2) To disrupt UN strategy.
(3) Confuse people’s minds by propaganda so that they would take the NKA side.

i. Morale:
Morale was low because they all knew they were surrounded by UN forces and 1/3 of the men were missing because of desertion, wounds, etc.

j. Supply:
Each man carried 2 days ration and 100 rd ammo for small arms. No issue of ammo since HWACH’ON (華川).
