FIELD REPORT (2 Div - LDI - No Number) 2 February 1951

1. PERSONAL DETAILS:
NAME: PAK Chung Song (ROKA)
AGE: 24

2. ASSESSMENT:
Source was cooperative and information seems to be fairly reliable.
Not recommended for further interrogation.

3. CIRCUMSTANCE OF CAPTURE:
11 Nov 50 source and another ROK soldier of the 6th Div, were captured by CCF at KUJANG-DONG, NK and were sent to NKA Prison Camp, located in PYOKTONG, near KUJANG-DONG. Source observed approx 240 ROK and 10 American PW in this camp.
3 Jan 51, all 240 ROK PW were divided into groups according to their home Provinces and each group was given one certificate of release.
On the way back, source and one other were left behind, due to their health and were picked up by 2nd Recon at WONJU 1 Feb 51.

4. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
o/a 23 Jan 51 source observed approx 30 CCF (identified them by their language) who were armed with Japanese rifles and Soviet rifles, dug in at a hill located approx 300 meters N of a village. (approx 12 KM N of YOJU). These troops stayed in foxholes dug on hill’s southern slope during the daylight hours and came down from the hill after darkness to the village.
o/a 26 Jan 51 source observed 200-300 men of CCF hauling north rice and other food on approx 10 horse carts and unk number of hand carts, at village approx 8 KM N of YOJU. They all were armed with either Soviet rifles, Japanese model 99 & 38 rifles, M-1 Rifles, or carbines.

5. COMMUNIST INDOCTRINATION:
While in the prison camp, PW received Communistic lecture for 3 hours (1 hour a day).
Prior to their release, they were told to disseminate the Communistic ideals after returning home.
