9 AUG 50 - Inducted at SEOUL and sent to YUWON. The PW was then attached to the 12th div, 2nd Regt, 3rd Bn, 7th Co.

4 JAN 51 - Entire 12th Div (approx. 6,000 men) arr in the vicinity of CHUNCHON.

15 JAN 51 - 12th Div contacted UN Forces near WONJU. After about 24 hr of fire fight the 12th Div suffered approx. 2,500 casualties.

17 JAN 51 - 1st, 2nd and 3rd Regt retreated towards SHINDAIRI. The 12th Div CP moved to SADONG (hearsay).

21 JAN 51 - PW was appointed 1st Sgt of 7th Co at SHINDAIRI. The 2nd Regt received replacements. (These replacements were all former 38th Div personnel). The 12th Div after receiving replacements increased its strength to approx. 5,500 men.

3 Feb 51 - 2nd and 3rd Bn, 2nd Regt, 12th Div, dep SHINDAIRI with HOENGSONG as their destination. The 1st Bn, 2nd Regt remained at SHINDAIRI.

4 Feb 51 - 2nd and 3rd Bn arr HOENGSONG, and were deployed on a hill near HOENGSONG.

6 Feb 51 - PW was captured while going to the 7th Co area by a ROK Patrol.
