a. Chronology:
15 May 47: Inducted into the CCF and assigned to the Independent Replacement Regt at CHIAOHO (蛂河), MANCHURIA.
Jun 47: Assigned to the Independent Artillery Bn, 30th Div, 47th Army at LINGCHENG (明城), MANCHURIA.
Oct 47: Arrived CHANGCHUN (長春).
Oct 47 - Nov 48: Moved from CHANGCHUN (長春) to TEHUI (德■), CHILIN-SHENG (吉林省) to HSINKAIYANG (新開陽) to CHINCHOU (錦州), MANCHURIA.
Dec 48: Arrived at a point between TIE'TSIN (天津) and PEIPING (北京), CHINA.
Jul 49: Arrived HANKOU (漢口), CHINA. Assigned to the 47th Army Independent Artillery Bn at HANKOU.
Aug 49: Arrived WEILING, CHINA.
Mar 50: All the Korean soldiers were gathered together at WEILING, CHINA.
Apr 50: All Koreans arrived CHENGCHOU (郑 州), CHINA. Here, they organized an all Korean division. Since PW was 29 years old, he was assigned to the training battalion (教導大隊) (approx 800 men). Men between 28 to 30 years of age were all assigned to this battalion. This battalion training men to become NCO. Training battalion (教導大隊) arrived SUKCHON (肅川), KOREA.
20 Apr 50: Assigned to the Independent Artillery Co, 25th Regt, 10th Div.
1 May 50: Assigned to the HMG Co, 3rd Bn, 25th Regt, 10th Div.
20 May 50: Assigned to the HMG Co, Training Bn (教導大隊), 10th Div.
6 Jun 50: Arrived P'YONGYANG (平壤), KOREA.
15 Jul 50 - 25 Jul 50: Advanced to the NAKTONG River (洛東江) via HONGDUNGP'O (洪登浦), KUMCH'ON (金泉), and KORYONG (高靈).
15 Sep 50: Started retreat to CH'OMBANG-NI (占方里).
3 Nov 50: Arrived CHOMBANG-NI (4,000 men).
Dec 50: 10th Div was reorganized (4,000 men and men from the 5th and 7th Div making a total of 7,000 men).
15 Dec 50: PW was assigned to the 2nd Plat, 8th Co, 3rd Bn, 25th Regt, 10th Div as a platoon leader and was promoted to Jr Lt.
18 Jan 51: Arrived HAKDAM (鶴潭). 10th Div advanced toward ANDONG (安東). PW sprained his ankle and was left behind and stayed at a farmer's house.
28 Jan 52: PW was captured.
