1. PERSONAL DETAILS:

2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was cooperative, but not to the extent of giving information freely during interrogation. Information herein seems fairly reliable, because PW was vague on figures and dates as to when the events took place. PW was wounded.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology
290630 Jan 51, while 4th Co was engaging UN forces, PW was wounded in the leg and was unable to withdraw with the unit and was later captured.
PW did not know where the Company retreated or where they were to reassemble. During the engagement the 4th Co was severely bombarded by UN aircraft and artillery.

b. Unit Organization and Strength
38th Army composed of the 112th, 113th, 114th and replacement Div. In each Div, there were three Infantry Regt and an Artillery Bn.
112th Div was composed of the 334th, 335th and 336th Inf Regt and an Artillery Bn, totaling about 15,000 men.
Present strength of the 336th Regt was about 3,000; 2nd Bn about 500 men; and the 4th Co about 110 men.

c. Location of PW Own Unit
4th Co CP was located 2 miles NE of CS525279, exact location unknown. 2nd Bn CP was located 200m NE of CS525279 at the foot of a hill (which was very high).
336th Regt CP located 3 km NW of the Bn CP and about 1 km W of the main road at the foot of a high-hill.

d. Location of Other Units
38th Army is deployed south of the HAN River to CS525279.
PW heard from 2nd Bn CO that the 130th Regt of the 50th Army was deployed 1,200 m NW of CS525279, however, PW did not actually see these troops.

e. Status of Arms, Ammunition, Supply and Equipment
4th Company was armed with 2 x 60mm Mortars (50 rd each), 7 LMG (2,000 rd each), 30 M-1 Rifles and Carbines (80 rd each), 4 Grenades each, 7 Land Mines (Type Unk) and 3 Tank Grenades.
Heavy Weapons Co, 2nd Bn: 2 x 82mm Mortars (80 rd each), 6 HMG (3,000 rd each), 3 Jap Carbines (50 rd each) and one Grenade each.
PW stated that after crossing the HAN River o/a 14 Jan 51, they (the 112th Div) did not receive any food supply. Since that time they foraged food from the villagers in the immediate area of their unit.

f. Personalities
