2. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:
9 Jul 50 - Inducted at YONCH’ON (CT 3119) and attached to YONCH’ON Security Hqs.
26 Sep 50 - 500 members of security unit retreated to TONGCH'ON (WONSAN area) and attached to 9th Div. Units remained in concealment in mountains for approx one month then traveled to CHONGKOK (60 km N of SEOUL).
18 Jan 51 - 9th Div arrived P’YONGCHANG (DS 4635) and continued march and arrived YONGWOL (DS 5315).
21 Jan 51 - 1st and 2nd Regts engaged by friendly forces at YONGWOL. Deployed in defensive positions for 3 days.
28 Jan 51 - 9th Div arrived TUNNE MYON, HOENGSONG GUN and rested 4 days. Then continued to SANGHANUNG NI(S of PYONGCHAN) arrived 4 Feb 51.
4 Feb 51 - 9th Div departed for SANGSAMI RI (DS 9925) Regts departed within 20 to 40 minutes interval. PW escaped and traveled to ANHUNG MYON, CHONG-GI DONG and captured.

b. Organization, Strength and Weapons:
II Corps consisted of 2nd, 9th, 10th and 31st Divs. 9th Div - 3 Inf Regt, Comm Bn, Engr Bn, Rcn Unit and a Med Bn (100 men).
