PW was cooperative but due to his indifference and personal characteristics, poor memory, he lacked information. Information seems unreliable.

4. LOCATION AND ACTIVITIES OF UNIT:
PW company was in defensive position when it was attacked by UN forces. PW was captured the same day he was committed to the line.
O/a 15 Jan 51 PW heard that the CCF’s objective was TAEJON.

5. PERSONAL AND UNIT HISTORY:
Entered the CNA in June 49 at KANHSIAO SHENG (甘肅省).
Captured at SSUCHUAN SHENG (四川省) in Feb 50 by the CCF and assigned to present unit.
50th Army departed SSUCHUAN SHENG Feb 50 for HUPEI SHENG (湖北省). Remained there until Oct 50, when the 149th Division departed for ANTUNG.
The division passed through SINUIJU (XE1839), CHONGJU, PYONGYANG, and SEOUL before arriving at a point approx 40 km South of SEOUL.

6. FOOD AND AMMO SUPPLIES:
Food was locally procured in ample amounts.

7. MORALE AND BATTLE EFFECTIVENESS:
Morale was low due to long night marches and extreme cold.

8. MEDICAL:
Two or three cases of frozen feet occurred in PW company. No treatment was seen being administered.
There were approximately six cases of malaria and typhus in the division.

9. PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE:
a. Did you surrender voluntarily? If so, why?
PW was captured.
b. Did you see any UN leaflets or hear UN loudspeaker broadcasts?
