ATIS INTERROGATION REPORT NO 3269　9 February 1951

FIELD REPORT (521 - MISDI - 0379)　27 January 1951

Apprehended by 1st Bn 187th Airborne RCT on 261100 Jan 51 at CHANGNIM.

Source was captured o/a 25 Dec 50 near CHUNCHON by elements of the 31st NK Div along with 25 others. After capture prisoners were interrogated concerning tactical military matters and their political views. They were then forced to accompany their captors, serving in the capacity of food bearers.

Source escaped o/a 18 Jan 51 at YONGGHUN and was enroute to rejoin his unit at time of capture by UN troops. His uniform was confiscated by his NK captors. He was in civilian dress at time of capture by UN troops. He had no knowledge of the strength or organization of the 31st NK Div. He did not observe any heavy weapons or vehicles in the possession of his captors.
