2. ASSESSMENT:
PW was intelligent and cooperative. Reliability - Fair.

3. TACTICAL INFORMATION:
a. Chronology:
4 Nov 50 - Inducted into the NKA 1st Sqd, 1st Plat, LMG Co, 3rd Bn, 3rd Regt, 6th Div, V Corps as a Pvt at WIWON (渭原).
5 Nov 50 - 6th Div departed from WIWON (渭原). While marching southward, received winter clothing, shoes, and Russian 7.62mm “MOSSIN-NAGANT” M1891/30 rifles and M1924/27 carbines with 50 rounds each.
27 Nov 50 - 6th Div arrived HUICH’ON (熙川) and continued to march southward.
10 Dec 50 - 3rd Bn, 3rd Regt arrived at KAECH’ON (■川). 1st Regt and 2nd Regt of the 6th Div bypassed KAECH’ON and were stationed somewhere to the south. 3rd Regt remained here for about ■ days and PW received basic training.
V Corps received orders to engage in guerrilla activity and infiltrate behind enemy lines.
2 Jan 51 - 3rd Regt crossed the 38th parallel and arrived at HONGCH’ON (洪川).
7 Jan 51 - 3rd Regt arrived 4Km N of WONJU (原州). Received orders to attack WONJU held by the ROK 5th Div.
8 Jan 51 - 0100 hours, 3rd Regt attacked WONJU but no engagement occurred as the ROK 5th Div had withdrawn. 3rd Regt pulled back to same position 4Km N of WONJU.
10 Jan 51 - V Corps units, the 6th Div, 12th Div, 38th Div, 27th Div and the 43rd Div were ordered to withdraw to HONGCH’ON (洪川). PW deserted his Regt and started moving west to SEOUL from HONGCH’ON (洪川).
18 Jan 51 - PW was captured at PANGOK (■谷) by US troops.

e. Disposition:
When last observed on 10 Jan 51, all divisions of the V Corps were being assembled for the attack on WONJU (原州).

f. Intention:
6th Div was to infiltrate behind enemy lines, to follow the central RR line between SEOUL and ANDONG (安東) and to hit PUSAN.

g. Morale:
Low because of continuous marching and inadequate supplies and equipment.

h. Replacements:
On 10 Dec 50, 30 captured SK soldiers were integrated into the NKA at KAECH’ON (竹川).

i. Evacuation and Treatment of Wounded:
The wounded were carried on stretchers as the Div moved. The seriously wounded were left behind.

j. Supply:
Each man carried 3 days rations and 50 rounds.

k. Weapons Feared Most:
