1. PERSONAL DETAILS:
PW NAME: YUN, Yong Nak (尹東洛) (윤동낙) (NKA)

ORGANIZATION: II Corps, 10th Div, Arty Regt, (code: 753 Unit), 2nd Bn, 4th Co, 2nd Plat, 1st Sqd.
DUTIES: Rifleman

2. ASSESSMENT:
PW appeared in ragged clothing but in good physical condition. He was cooperative but lacked info about Arty. This unit was designated the Arty Regt but lost all of its guns during Sep NKA retreat. PW joined unit on 23 Nov 50. Therefore interrogation on Arty was impossible. Info fairly reliable.

II Corps composed of 2nd, 6th and 10th Divs.
10th Division composed of 25th, 27th and 29th Regts and Arty Regt, Sig Bn, Eng Bn, Med Bn, 45mm AT Gun Bn, Recon Co, Supply Co, Guard Co, and Service Company
Arty Regt composed of 3 Arty Bns, Hqs Btry and Supply Btry.
2nd Arty Bn had 3 Arty Btry’s, Hqs Btry and Supply Squad.
Each Arty Btry composed of Hq and 2 Plats.
Each Plat had 2 Sqds.

4. LOCATION AND ACTIVITIES OF UNITS:
II Corps mission was to infiltrate UN forces lines and engage in guerrilla warfare.

5. PERSONAL AND UNIT HISTORY:
PW conscripted 8 Aug 50 at YANGGU (DT 1018) into Guard Company of I Corps.
1 Sep 50, PW travelled by foot and vehicle with Guard Company to SARIWON (沙里院), arriving in mid Sep 50.
o/a 20 Sep 50, when NKA started to retreat, PW deserted and started for his home in YANGGU over mountain trails.
o/a 10 Nov 50, PW was apprehended at HOEYANG (CT 7885). From there PW was taken to HWACHANG (BU 8547), arriving o/a 23 Nov 50. There PW was assigned to Arty Regt of 10th Div. Unit was designated as an Arty Regt, however, it had lost all of its guns during retreat from south.
At HWACHANG Arty Regt engaged UN forces for about a month and o/a 25 Dec 50 started moving south. This unit took only mountain trails, encountered no UN forces, and arrived at YONGJU (DR 6775) o/a 16 Jan 51.
17 Jan 51, PW was unable to keep up with his unit because of frost bite. While recuperating, he was captured.

7. FOOD AND AMMO SUPPLIES:
Food very scarce; at times PW ate only one small meal, which consisted of rice and “Kimchee” a day. When a village was reached, food was gathered and divided among the men; this was the only source of food.

8. MORALE:
Morale of troops was low because of the lack of food and clothing; most of troops had no desire to fight.

9. PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE:
