2. ASSESSMENT:
Reliability - Fair
Physical Condition - Good
Due to low morale and no interest in the Army PW has only a vague idea of the T/O of the 25th Regt.

3. MILITARY HISTORY:
20 Dec 50 - Conscripted at YANGGU (楊口) into the 10th Div, 25th Regt, 2nd Bn, 4th Co, 3rd Plat, 2nd Sqd. No basic training. PW heard that there was a 29th Regt in the 14th Div, but has no detailed information.
o/a 23 Dec 10th Div (29th and the 25th Regts) left YANGGU (楊口) for PUSAN (釜山) as its objective. The day after leaving YANGGU the 10th Div was engaged by ROK unit, which withdrew after two hours of contact. 25th Regt suffered 1 KIA and 1 WIA.
o/a 25 Dec Reached HONGCH’ON (洪川) and moved out of HONGCHON that same evening. Passed through HONGSONG (洪城) o/a 27 Dec 50 and moved southward past NOKCHON (■■).
18 Jan 51 Approx 4 km S of NOKCHON (located approx 12 km W of YEAN (禮安) the 29th Regt was engaged by the enemy (UN troops). The 25th Regt which was approx 1 km to the rear of the 29th was not engaged. PW gave himself up to the NOKCHON Police the following day.

4. STRENGTH:
PW estimates that the 25th Regt was originally composed of 1500 men; however, by 18 Jan 51 approx 100 men had deserted the unit.
PW also heard that on one occasion and entire plat of men with exception of Plat Ldr deserted the unit.

5. WEAPONS: 25th Regt
Rifles (Russian “ASHI”) - 1 per man
PPSH, SMGs, Pistol and Carbine - 1 per Sqd Ldr and above
Hand grenade - 1 to every 3 men
Approx 15 LMGs
〃  6 HMGs
〃  6 Mortars

6. AMMUNITION:
All the ammo available was carried individually by the troops.
Rifle Ammo - 30 rds per men
Mortar Shell - 1 per man
